#11 Reflection Blog

Blogging has been a new experience for me to add to my skills. Even if I'm still new to it I now have the knowledge to be able to Blog even if it is at a beginners level. Not only did this assignment give me a chance to try something new it gave me a new outlook on what blogs are. Before the class, my thoughts on blogs were of some Geek sitting at a desk at all moments of every day wasting their life away on some minuscule task.
My Idea of what a blogger used to look like.

Now I understand that its people who blog. This lets me be more serious as to before when I thought they were things people used as a way to get people to argue for no reason.

I like blogging because it allowed me to be free and share my opinions freely with the world. Even if some of the blogs where assigned, the topic was normally vague and allowed for me to choose a specific topic. Being able to give information out, that you want to share and sometimes don't have anyone to share it, with feels relieving. Even if it is only one or two people who read the blog.

While reading other blogs I got lots of great information from my fellow classmates. Lots of interesting topics ranging from immigration officers beating illegals to death, to better sleep habits. Many different blogs with many different types of ideals and voices. Some where entertaining and others were shocking!

I believe that blogging as a class assignment is a great way to help students be more creative with there writing overall. By making students write to a audience who will actually end up reading there work they become more used to the idea that they will not always be writing to a professor.

I feel that I will keep blogging on my own. The reason for this is that I constantly come across lots of great information and plenty of interesting ideas. Sure I get to share these with my friends but I would like to share with strangers to get them to see new views on common ideas. Also to share my interests with people who also share those interests.

  1. I agree with you on your conclusion, blogging is a great way to help students be more creative and better than making them do boring homework from the textbook.
